All year round after school sessions. 1 hr to 1 hr 30 mins

Art and DT department

Students that consistently produce excellent work and homework or even try consistently hard, will be invited by letter to be part of Masters of Art and Design. Workshops will be held throughout the year by Art and DT teachers and students will receive extra-curricular information and opportunities by email from the school as well as places such as the Dulwich Picture Gallery, National Maritime Museum, the V & A etc.

This club will start on the 14th November. It will be led by a professional from out of school who is DBS checked. The club will aim to have participants debating in three separate events: the Urban Debate league (the week of 27th January and the week of the 2nd March); The Debate Mate Cup (in the weeks prior to and following Easter Holidays). In this club students will build upon critical and creative thinking, teamwork, leadership, empathy and self-management. Students on the program have seen substantial improvement in speaking and listening skills.

Woodwind Group Monday lunch – a mixed woodwind ensemble open to Grade 1 players and above.

Guitar Club Monday lunch /Thursday lunch (Yr7 starters) – sign up for guitar lessons to join.

KS3 Ensemble Monday after school – a mixed instrument ensemble that devises and performs its own music. All abilities welcome.

Jazz Collective Tuesday lunch – a modern jazz ensemble suitable for grade 3 and above.

Drum Club Tuesday after school – sign up for drum lessons to join the club.

Vocal Group Wednesday lunch – a performance singing group open to all.

Piano Club Thursday after school – sign up for piano lessons to join the club.

Rap Club Friday lunch – make your own lyrics and rap performance.

Electric Orchestra Friday lunch – a contemporary take on the orchestra open to intermediate players.

Because numbers are limited and offered on a first come first served basis please sign up to claim your place at FHS Music.
