GCSE Results 2019

On the morning of Thursday 22 August, there were lots of smiling faces at Forest Hill School. We are delighted that once again the hard work and dedication of our students and staff has paid off with some great GCSE results.

The new GCSEs are significantly tougher than their predecessors and it is great to see many of our students doing so well. Once again, we saw an increase in the number of top grades achieved with 21% of grades awarded being Grades 7-9 (A-A*) – and over half of these being at the top Grades 8-9.

We are particularly proud of how well the school meets the needs of all its students from the most-able students to those with significant need. We demonstrate clearly the success of comprehensive education.

Notable achievements this year include:

Billy Stack
9x Grade 9
1x Grade 7
Hubert Solecki
8x Grade 9
1x Grade 8
1x Grade 7
1x A*
Oscar Miller

2x Grade 8

Oliver Smith

4x Grade 8
1x Grade 6

Headmaster, Michael Sullivan, said: “We’ve seen some exceptional performances form Forest Hill students this year which make us so proud. This is due to the hard work of our boys and their dedicated teachers, and in no small part to the support of their families.

I look forward to welcoming many of the boys back into our Sixth Form to continue their studies. For all the students, however, I would like to congratulate them on their success and wish them the very best for their futures.”
