School Meals

The catering service at Forest Hill School is provided by Olive Dining, and includes an offering for breakfast, mid-morning break and lunch. Click here to view Olive Dining’s December 2020 Newsletter.
We use a cashless catering system for all food and drink purchases.
Breakfast
At the start of the day, we offer breakfast from 8.00 to 8.25am in the atrium. The menu includes hot items such as bacon rolls and bagels as well as cereals.
Breakfast provides essential nutrients and benefits that can improve a child’s performance at school, which is why free porridge is available for all students at Forest Hill School.
Breaktime
All students have a mid-morning break from 10.50-11.10am (10.45-11.05 on a Monday) when the atrium and snack shacks are open and serving a variety of hot and cold snacks.
Lunchtime
At lunchtime, there is a variety of options for students. We offer a full school meal in the atrium at a cost of £2.42 per day, or the opportunity to purchase a lighter meal from one of our snack shacks located in the school playground.
Due to Covid-19, the menus have been designed to provide food that is simple to produce, quick to serve, and easy to eat/carry. We also need to ensure that there is a guaranteed supply of ingredients.
Families who receive certain benefits may be entitled to Free School Meals.
Packed Lunches
Students are welcome to bring packed lunches to school which may be eaten outside or in the school atrium.
