At KS4 the GCSE curriculum focuses on developing enterprise skills in Year 10, a good preparation for all students who may be considering running their own business in the future. In Year 11 students follow the economics pathway in order to gain a deeper understanding of how economic decisions are made.
Students also have the option of studying Business at BTEC Level 2. This vocational option allows students to investigate how business functions in the real world.
Key Stage 5
In Year 12 students can undertake a vocational course in Business at either Level 2 or 3, depending on prior achievement. These courses give students the practical skills to succeed in the workplace or in higher education. For students looking for a purely academic route we offer A Level Economics, a qualification which is highly valued by the leading universities.
We also run an industry qualification in Personal Finance for students who may be considering a career in finance.
